Wax Replacement Liner
Spectra-Shield™ Liners are coated with an aqueous based multi-functional barrier coating. The printable non-abrasive coated surface creates a barrier from water and grease while supplying gloss and excellent rub resistance. The applied coating is capable of withstanding high temperatures typical to corrugating process.
Spectra-Shield™ Liners add unparalleled improvements in strength and barrier protection to treated corrugated container.
Glueing & Printing
Spectra-Shield™ Liners can be glued with cold-set adhesives. Spectra-Kote can provide you with a detailed list of qualified adhesives best suited for use with this product.
Spectra-Shield™ Liners is over-printable using Flexographic presses. It is recommended that all inks be reviewed for suitability of ink coverage characteristics prior to production.
Application Methods
Spectra-Shield™ Liners are typically applied to Kraft liners using a Rod Coater. The coating is specially formulated to properly address the coating alterations and/or choice of substrate can significantly alter the performance results of the applied coating.
