VersaCote™
VersaCote™ is an aqueous based over print varnish designed for optimum gloss, heat resistance and non-abrasive characteristics. The coating is compatible with most types of coating equipment.
Along with excellent gloss, the coating has been designed to provide optimum performance for angle of slide requirements in many manufacturing environments. The coatings superior rub resistance ensures that no damage will be incurred to the packaging during the packaging process.
VersaCote™ provides cost competitive performance to a predominately commodity driven marketplace.
Gluing and Printing
VersaCote™ can be glued with cold-set adhesives or hot-melt adhesives. Spectra-Kote can provide you with a detailed list of adhesives best suited for use with this coating.
VersaCote™ is over-printable using Flexographic presses. It is recommended that all inks be reviewed for suitability of ink coverage characteristics prior to production to ensure optimum printing results.
Application Methods
VersaCote™ formulation will obtain excellent performance values through application with Flexographic, gravure, roll and rod coaters with in-line or off-line coating environments. Spectra-Kote also offers pre-coated liners to help eliminate downtime associated with coating in-line at the corrugator.
