Bake-Kote™ 48
Bake-Kote™ 48 is an aqueous based barrier coating designed for the rigors of the baking industry. The printable coated surface creates a barrier from grease while exhibiting excellent heat resistant qualities.
Bake-Kote™ 48 is a unique, cost-effective alternative to poly laminate and 100% fluorocarbon based solutions.
Gluing and Printing
Bake-Kote™ 48 can be glued with cold-set adhesives or hot-melt adhesives. Spectra-Kote can provide you with a detailed list of qualified adhesives best suited for use with this product.
Bake-Kote™ 48 is over-printable using Flexographic presses. No primer is required before applying the ink. It is recommended that all inks be reviewed for suitability of ink coverage characteristics prior to production to ensure optimum printing results.
Application Methods
The Bake-Kote™ 48 can be applied to a variety of paper substrates using a Rod Coater. The two-station process can be adjusted to tailor to a variety of end applications. Be advised, coat weight alterations and/or choice of substrate can significantly alter the performance results of the applied coating.
